Events DC and CRYSP DC are committed to patron, staff and community safety. We thank you for being a partner in the successful and safe reopening of The Fields.

Effective Monday, March 22, 2020

  • All organized activities require a permit — Contact CRYSP for information on permitting and allowable activities
  • Open Play continues at designated times
  • Patrons should wear masks, keep 6-10 feet distance and wash/sanitize hands upon entry
  • Maximum of 50 people per field/event, including coaches/staff/parents
  • Maximum of 30 people on the playground
  • The Fields are open Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 11 PM, and Saturday and Sunday, 8 AM – 8 PM.

USING THE FIELDS DURING THE REOPENING PERIOD

FIELD RULES

No more than 50 people per field/event anywhere on the campus

Stay 6-10 feet apart from others

Low-risk sports: no-contact practices and games allowed

Medium- and higher-risk sports: no-contact practices only — no games

HOW IT WORKS

Open Play is available during designated times.

Please limit play to 60 minutes so others may enjoy the Fields.

FOR YOUR SAFETY

Sanitize equipment and wash hands upon entering & leaving

Bring your own water – no sharing

Wear masks whenever possible

Don’t touch things unless necessary

PLAYGROUND RULES

● Open from 8 am to dusk daily
● For youth ages 12 and under, with adult supervision
● Limited to 30 participants at a time
● Please limit play to 60 minutes – so others may enjoy
● No more than 10 people in a group
● Stay 6 feet apart from others
● Patrons assume their own risk when using the playground and fitness equipment

FOR YOUR SAFETY

● Sanitize your hands upon entry & exit
● Bring your own refreshments – no sharing
● Wear masks whenever possible

ADDITIONAL RULES

● All children under the age of 18 must have adult supervision.
● Patrons must clean up after themselves before leaving.
● Dogs are prohibited in the playground and adjacent areas.
● Confetti, glitter, rice, birdseed, and spray “silly string” are prohibited.
● Alcoholic beverages, smoking, and drug use are prohibited.
● Amplified music, barbecuing and open fires are prohibited.

Report any concerns to uniformed field staff, who will facilitate the use of the playground and playground shade structure.

FIELD USE POLICIES

  • Fields may be closed at any time for safety concerns
  • Patrons are responsible for adhering to all field/campus policies and may use the playing fields only during their designated time; failure to do so may result in being asked to leave the premises
  • All children under the age of 18 must have adult supervision
  • Only guide dogs are allowed on the playing fields
  • Metal cleats and bare feet are prohibited on the playing fields
  • Do not leave personal items unattended
  • Drink water—food, chewing gum, sunflower seeds and beverages are prohibited on the playing fields
  • Tobacco and smoking of any type is prohibited on the campus
  • The following activities or items are prohibited on the playing fields:
    • Bicycles
    • Alcoholic beverages
    • Glass containers
    • Fireworks or any open flame
    • Golfing, shot putting, javelin or discus throwing
    • Use of drones or model planes or rockets
    • Painting, chalking, tape or other adhesive material without prior approval
    • Stakes, spikes or other pointed objects
